| I am thinking about buying a few of these bucktails. Just wondering how people that have them or has used them like them? |

| have never try a single one,but i really like the idea of a soft leader instead of a wire,look a lot more maintenance free that a .52 or even a .62 wire |

| I had a couple,never caught a fish with them. But they do start up nearly 100% of the time. Probably as good as it can get that way. If i remember right the skirts were zip tied on, can't say that I am a fan of that idea though. |

| Never bought one because of the zip tied skirt. One tooth into that zip and bye bye skirt. |

Location: Wisconsin | Thanks for the interest. Would like to address the cable tie thing. I chose to go that route because thread does have problems of it's own if it is not done correctly and even then, I felt it was a better choice to go stronger and more durable. These are military grade ties that you don't get at home depot and there are three separate ties. Those three are cemented into place with the strands onto a shaped body. The shaped body prevents any movement. Once that is done, I completely seal the entire set with a top coat of cement. It's pretty bullet proof. I have seen others that use bass style tie and rubber bands to a single tie (more than one do this). I put out thousands of lures every year and not one has had a skirt come apart. The picture are two of mine that have each over 50 muskies on them, still running. We have plenty of baits that are catching fish every day on LSC and skirt integrity is never a concern. Location: Wisconsin | The Model 5 trolling bucktail which can be casted as well is at about 4.9oz. It has the .040 blades which adds weight without getting too long. I can also add the thicker blades to a stock model 2 double 10 and get it over 4oz. Let me know, we can make any custom to get it to what you need!! Thanks |

Location: Aurora IL | Agree on the zips, have been making tails for years using 2 zips and then epoxy. Have never had one fail. I have however repaired 3 tied tails for friends in the last month. Bill |

| No problems whatsoever with the zip tied tails. I have been doing them that way for years and it works great, with no fails. Using them around a lot of rock reefs, also. Plenty of abuse and they just hold up. |

| Best bucktail on the market imo. Been using them for 4 years or so and have had excellent results. They are virtually unbreakable and start immediately. |

Like the Muskie Metal a lot. The concept makes sense and the design supports it well. Will be adding more to the arsenal.
Had my only action of the weekend (an upper 30's follow) on a silver over black double ten on Sunday.
