I've got a quick weekend trip to Clayton NY, the 1,000 islands area next week. I'll be stuck with a couple bass guys, but hope to throw for a musky while i'm up there. I've heard 40 acre shoal is the place to go, but was wondering if there's any spots worth cruising to and taking a couple casts at. Eel Bay? any particular islands to shake down while i'm up there?
Thanks in advance!

Feather Bed Shoal just SW of Carelton Island and the whole NW and North sides of Carleton Island. Easy spots to find, can be tough to fish depending on the wind. Have also moved some nice size fish in the Narrows between Murray Island and Wellesley Island. Round Island is also worth hitting. Huge body of water focusing on 3 spots is probably enough to keep you busy all day...or at least is was for me because I prefer casting over trolling.
