Has anyone ventured from Cedar to Perrault, and if so minus the bridge are there areas to watch out for, and how long of a run is it? I'm staying on Cliff, but want to add 2 lakes to my "been there" file. Is the public launch "safe" on Perrault?

I made it pretty far up the river....past the old trestle bridge remnants. I would think you could make it the whole way. I was tipped off the river holds fish too and we bagged a few.

Have you fished all of the lakes yet on the Cliff Chain? If you haven't, those would be a better time investment than Perrault.

I suppose you could call it a "launch". Up the highway there is a gravel launch you can back a boat into. Back on Deer Lake rd there is spot to physically lift and drop a boat into. Parking is tough in both spots...not a lot of room.

I believe the Cliff Lake campground has a fee, and Lost Bay may allow with a fee. I was "able" to launch at Cedar Lake Lodge's access, but Cliff Lake Resorts allows Cedar Lake Lodge guests to launch and vice a versa.

It's not a long run at all up to Perrault, but probably not worth the trip unless you are looking for smallmouth and walleye.
