Looking at getting a bulldawg monster magnum rated for 11-40 oz baits and putting a toro s60 on it. Anyone have this rod? Would i be able to double this rod for rubber and big bucktails? Or would it be too heavy for DCGs and similar baits? Any thoughts on the S60 for rubber?

U have the S 60 on my bucktail rod and love it.

Really like the Rocket for rubber, picks up the slack line in an instant, takes the work out of the day.

Now also looking at the TI pounder rod. But more importantly, how will the S60 handle rubber?

The S60 is fine for rubber. There are faster reels for rubber which might be nice, but 29 inches per crank on the S60 isn't really slow either. For the price its fairly hard to beat.

The 400 is available in left hand so that would be an option.

agree with Steve, I have a toro rocket and so far I really like it.. have used it for big jerks and rubber, picks up line fast and seems well built... I also throw rubber with the Tranx 500 hg, I put a Daiwa Lexa double paddle handle on it (prefer that for rubber vs power handle) .. love it..but it is quite a bit heavier than the Rocket.. and is somewhat noticeable... not sure how the Rocket power handle will hold up to a big hookset yet...
