What do you do when the lake you are fishing experiences a severe algae bloom? Where do you fish-deep or shallow, rocks or weeds, time of day, types of lures? Can't move to a different lake.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have found that wind really plays a part during a big bloom. The windy rocks, points, and weedlines where the bloom is dispersed throughout the water column seem to be the spot on the spot. Stay to the same patterns as far as baits go you feel are seasonal selections. The fish have to live in that water, and have to eat, so they adjust.

I haven't done well on open structure when there is a 'mat' of algae on the surface, but for whatever reason, have done well in the slop under still, nasty, green spots all over the shirt conditions.
