Went out August 6 for the day. Water temp varied from 73-76. After talking to LOTW Headquarters we trolled only for about 6 hours (we had our wives with us - amazed to hold their attention span for THAT long lol). With advice from the tackle shop, we were trolling rock shelves in the 25 ft range. We were using 10" Jakes. Managed a few small pike and a fat 37" pike that the wife brought in.
The guys at LOTW HQ were saying the big girls have gone deeper according to the local anglers. Can still find some smaller skis on sunken islands in the shallows. Unfortunately I can't confirm or deny this lol.
Doubt this helps anyone as I still don't really know what I'm doing lol - but hey at least I got the water temp, right?

July through Sept, If my blades aren't clinking on some shoreline rocks from time to time, I don't feel like I'm fishing tight enough. Amazing how shallow those fish can be!
