Location: Wisconsin | Several of the lakes I fish are currently suffering from a severe algae bloom and visibility is only about a foot. What do you do under these conditions? Where do you fish-shallow or deep, weeds or rocks, types of baits to use, time of day to fish? I would sure appreciate any help.
Good luck this weekend. |

Location: Shoreview, MN | I'm no expert but the lake I fish is usually pretty clear (10+' visibility) but is pretty brown right now (but still 3-4' visibility). Last night the fish were really moving on bucktails along reefs/edges with deep weeds and rocks. I think the color in the water has allowed them to drop thier guard somewhat. But I don't know what would happen if visibility were less than 1'.

Location: oswego, il | People say to use bright lures and toipwaters. The bloom is a kiss of death for me. I asked about every guide in the guest chats about algae bloom and they either don't fish bloom lakes, avoid them when they do or they say the bite gets tough. |
