Location: Bloomington, MN | I was on/in the Chippewa Flowage this past weekend for the first time just in time for the cold front, did not catch/see a fish, fished very little, but still went away with thoughts that this might be a rewarding body of water. Just wondering your thoughts and experiences. I've even thought about spending day or so on Round Lake. I visited the Hall of Fame, and for a 55 y.o., it sure reminded me of the folks in the fishing world I admire. Never go into Hayward when it is raining! The place made the Wisconsin Smells look like a ghost town.

| I've only been on the chip once,,I love lakes with bays not big open round lake's,,fun lake to cast,,way too many pike, the second most hazardous lake I've been on has far has chance to whack bottom,,petenwell is the worst.,Hermans landing had one of the best burgers I've had. Hayward fun to hang out in during afternoon
I liked fishing this lake but hard to leave Minnesota and trophy lakes for the same drive time.

Location: Hayward, WI | Let me know next time your in that area and I can show you a couple of the other smaller lakes. Never cared for the Chip much, but lots of other lakes to fish in the area.

Location: oswego, il | It is a family friendly area. Beautiful lake and very good multispecies along with the muskies. Plenty of other lakes in the area, no real secrets. Get the fishing the north country book for that area. It has them all in there.

-Its got some real tankers in it, and they are wild.
-IMO The fish fight harder than any I've caught anywhere.
-Its a beautiful place, sometimes the fish are secondary to the beauty of being there.
-lots of good structure, they really can be anywhere, but are never everywhere.
-Extremely rewarding to get a giant out of there.
Dislikes-
-Can be extremely tough nut to crack, can be very fickle.
-They seem to have a good knack for getting off or not getting hooked. WAY Too often.
-Not enough fish per acre.
-A lot of dead water.
-Took me several years to do OK out there.
-Can be a little crowded at certain times of the year.
