Tried doing a search to no avail. Anybody got a list of standard bucktail components and their correlating sizes used to build 8's 10's and 12's?

Have you checked out Moore's lures? Dick is on here and offers everything you should need.

I use size 6 clevises on 9's and 10's with .051" wire. For 8's, ive had the best luck with the s shaped double clevises, although some don't like them. If you are using .062" wire, you may need bigger clevises. Beads just need to have a hole bigger than your wire diameter and the hole size in relation to bead size will vary depending on where you get them. Most places will tell you the hole size for the beads. I uses a lot of 5/16" beads on 9's and 10's and 1/4" beads on 8's.

Agree with anderj85 but there is no right or wrong answer. Size 6 is good place to start for any blade on 0.51. Thicker wire or if you want blades to fan out more, size 8. Thinner and smaller blades, you can go down to a 4. Never tried S clevis. 5/16" is also a good place to start with bead size but really no hard fast rule. Experiment from there!

I've had to cancel my last 3 orders with lakelandinc because they don't have hardly any painted blades in stock and won't paint unless you order 100. I used to order from all different places, but now I stick to dmoore. Somehow he manages to always have everything you need and it's all in stock. But yes, he does spend half the summer in Canada (lucky guy!). He also ends up charging you the actual shipping cost so don't let the $8 shipping deter you

i work with them since years,I've never i repeat never encounter anything like what you just say and fyi your dick blades came from lakeland!
like dick all you want, not a reason to write something not true true at all! blades mainly came from hagens and lakeland, lakeland is the biggest..........at $1.70 for a mag 10 black nickel blades,it should give a good idea of their very low price,it's the same thing for the rest

I'm not sure what you don't think is true, all I said was they haven't had half the items I want in stock and I end up ordering everything from dmoore. LakelandInc is always cheaper so it's worth a shot ordering from them first but I haven't had good luck with them. I thought dmoore is strictly Worth blades?

I know he would. There isn't anyone more knowledgeable than Mr Moore when it comes to bucktails. Call him and have a note pad handy for notes.

From stuff he's posted, and the notice in this year's catalog, he's referring to Lakeland.. Be that as it may, my first call is to him..
