how do I get the duo-lock snap in the lip like that? I have tried it and so far I only ruined four snaps but I couldn't get the darned snap in the two eyes of the lip if my life depended on it. Is there a trick to this? |

Location: Belgium | the link doesn't direct you to the lure I'm talking about. Go to baits, then crankbaits, then leo-lures. |

| Even if you could, would you really want to?
It just seems like a very weak link...

I have tried a small stainless steel wire leader of 2" but the bait just swings at about 80° to the left and 80° to the right and rolls over eventually. I need a way to attach these lures to a leader |

I was simply suggesting you put a split ring on the lure and fish it, skip the snap like the factory lures. If it rolls out too easily maybe adjust the lip a bit. As mentioned above the snap shown on the factory lure looks like a weak link for a big fish. |

I mean this: there are two holes in the lip, about 1/5" apart and they ct as holes for making some type of attachment eye. I saw Leopardi lures uses these snaps, I tried a small leader but I can't get the first one into these two holes and the latter one makes the lure overturn instantly. So how do you suggest I could attach the leader to the lip of this lures when there are no screw-eyes to attach the lure to? That's my problem ... |
