| What do you get when you host a tournament on a body of water that has a muskie population considered abundant and the weather is overcast with light winds and occasional rain sprinkles? You get plenty of muskie activity that produces an abundance of muskie action for all who were fortunate to be on Moose Lake during such a prime time. On Saturday, August 23, WMT anglers were very busy catching muskies(legal and sublegal) or having them follow their lures as they competed for more than $20,000 in cash and prizes, along with a $30,000 Ranger boat for the largest muskie, fifty inches or better, from Heckel's Eagle River Marina.
The tournament paid down 5 places:
1st place- Jim and Gene Wilfer, both of Port Washington
2nd place- Kevin Black, Sun Prairie and Phil Graham, Waunakee
3rd place- Chuck and Gene Bolton, both of Phillips
4th place- Tim and Tom Mathu, both of Luxemburg
5th place- Mike and Steve Schneider, both of Phillips
