| On Saturday, August 16, the full feild of anglers competing in the WMT's Pelican Lake tournament woke up to the crisp early autumn morning with hopes of tying nto one of the monster muskies that Pelican Lake is famous for. The 120 muskie chasers would not be disappointed as they competed for more than $30,000 in cashand prizes along with fishing for a $30,000 Ranger boat for the largest muskie,fifty inches or larger, from Heckel's Eagle River Marina.
The tournament paid down 5 places:
1st place- Brad Singsime and Kevin Moore, both of Waukesha
2nd place- Ken F. Krejci, Scofeild and Ken J. Krejci, Wausau
3rd place- Tom Meulemans, Greenleaf and Mark Van Rossum, DePere
4th place- Brian Emmerich and Brian Kastner, both of Woodruff
5th place- Craig Lemmer, Tomahawk and Jim Robl, Merrill
