| Just received an email from Milwaukee Chapter of Muskies Inc as follows:
"NO WAKE RULES IN EFFECT
Due to the high water, both Pewaukee and Okauchee Lakes have a No Wake Ordinance in effect, effective immediately. Signs are posted at all launches. This is to protect shorelines from erosion, limit flooding, and to avoid having clean water end up in the sanitation system potentially overloading the system.
Please respect the law in effect, show a good example, and educate those who may not have seen the signs posted at the boat launches.
Note - we have not heard if Lac LaBelle or Oconomowoc have No Wake in effect, so if you fish those waters, check for signs at the boat launches.
Good luck out there, and enjoy the lakes being pleasure boat free for a while."
Our rain gauge showed we had 4.45" of rain that night. We live about
15 minutes from the effected lakes.
