However, in 2005 I saw "her"...eastern Lac Seul. I'll say there.

Location: Apparently where the Muskie aren't | Hopefully LOTW, lac Seul, or Ottawa river because I plan on (hopefully) making a trip to one of those next year. If I catch the record I can assure you nodody will be finding out about it. I would get good photos that without a doubt prove it as a record but there is no way I'd go public about it, and I honestly think a lot of other Muskie guys feel the same way (maybe not).
But, I can assure you, that if I pull a record bass out of somewhere you will see me on the cover of some fishing magazine |

Hey, just saying. Last time I checked there was no levels in Muskie fishing. It's not required to catch 1 before you catch the record. I wasn't planning a trophy trip either just, some lakes that I could enjoy the whole experience at and not see water skiers every 3 min. |

Location: Contrarian Island | Green bay has the potential, Mille Lacs for sure has it. I don't really think Lac Seul does. I mean it has been fished for how long and really what is the biggest legit fish to come from it? I think they top out there smaller than other places. but who knows. it's fun to think about what swims in lakes like Seul. |

| Agree with the choices already mentioned, don’t forget Vermilion, probably a sleeper pick compared to out east but has annually kicked out upper 50” fish and has plenty of 2-3 lb whitefish living in the lake, definitely the potential of a 60” x grossly fat!! |

Bigger than what has been caught out of Green Bay... and probably ever will. |

| There is a very short window to get Lac Seul fish when they are at their peak when it comes to weight... with way less people fishing.
I am not dogging Green Bay...
Not really my right to say... but, another 60 incher was caught out of Lac Seul this year. Now, imagine that fish - full of eggs.
You may have a better chance at catching a larger fish out of Green Bay... due to having more time and there possibly being more fish of such caliber due to stocking... but, we are talking about one fish here. |

| I know... it's tough to believe someone catching a fish we have never seen ourselves - let alone appreciate the idea of it happening
Strange that 58-59" fish can be verified by state biologists... but, it's still tough for some to believe in a 60" fish.
Just one of many to be caught from the waters of Lac Seul.

| Hey man... I believe there are 60" fish. I've seen a absolute freak before as well. Never got it in the boat to be able to see what it actually measured. I'm all for people catching giant fish. It's the reason why I fish muskies, I don't do it to catch 40"! I genuinely would love to see a picture of it! |

| I got you.
There are pictures of some of them... and I have spent some time with people who have caught and witnessed them. Have also seen a marked map.
I would never question the people who have shared this information with me, as others do. I would not disrespect them like that... as I have no reason to.
Who knows. Until I catch or see one measured... I can not say they exist - for sure. I do believe what was shared with me, though.

| Why would the Chippewa Flowage be "sad"? It may not be the home of a record setting musky but has given up a lot of nice muskies, over 80% of shore is undeveloped and a lot of folks enjoy fishing it, vacationing there. |

| The question is for the biggest musky on earth... So if you even admit yourslef that it's not there, then that's why he used the word "sad" the question wasn't were is a nice place to fish and catch good size muskies |

Before he edited his post he had used the term "a joke", so no, I don't think that is it.

Location: western Ohio | Last day on LOTW northwest angle several years ago. I had an absolute beast hit at the boat. I never had a chance as she thrashed right at my feet off the bow. That fish may not have been 60" but she dwarfed my 50 from earlier in the week.
Yeah that is why I vowed to go back. Not for the ones caught, but for the ones and not caught.

| I will believe the 60" thing when there is a verified picture----until then-- JUST A STORY !! Green Bay ? I don't think it can really produce a fish over 56"---That's Huge--and some of them weigh in the 50# class...… But biggest would have to be in Georgian Bay or St Lawrence... Lac Seul and Eagle would also be great choices..... Just my Opinion--- I spend a lot of days on green Bay as I live right up there---see lots of nice fish-- but nothing that's record breaking and It seems to have peaked. |
