Hello All, a friend of mine told me he is going to Green LAke next week, he said it is a couple thousand Acres and about 3 hours from chicago. He said "Rob, you know how to post something on the web" Could you please see if anyone could give any advise about fishing this body of water.

Is the lake clear or stained? Weedy? Rocky? WAter Temp? any recommendations are appreciated.

Its 7,000 acres and 235 feet deep!Its got weed lines out to 15 feet of water,too much forage,rocky points and shores,clear water!some big muskys too!I believe a 52" tiger musky was caught in the walleye fyke nets there last spring.You can even troll this lake if you wish.

Ive never heard anything about muskies in big green. Just big pike. Can anybody verify for sure?

The clubs have been stocking it very well for some time now, give it a few more years and numbers will be on the rise. There are some big fish in there.

The first and only time I was ever there this spring caught a 35 inch and we had 3 follows from nice fish and my brother caught a nice 40.5 inch pike.

I think Green Lake is slated to receive a stocking population of spotted Ski's in the coming years.

Little Green was once touted as having the most legal muskie per acre in the state. Is the population still good?
