Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Hopefully Murph will spot this and answer in time. I Have fished the lake about a dozen times, and love it. I fish the rocky shores on the 2 to 6' break alot, doing well with bucktails and spinnerbaits. Walker Bay has been good to me with jigs, for all species there. Topwater and Reef Hawgs can be great on the weedlines, and this is the time of the year Leech just starts to really rock. This may sound silly, but there are lots of little man made coves that are protected docking areas for boats. We did very well two Septembers ago fishing the approaches and the mouths of those little coves with bucktails. Wish I had my map in front of me to jog the memory, darn it. I am on the road right now. Really like that water, for sure, and the pike fishing can be absolutely wonderful. In fact, my avatar pic is a Leech lake release, caught with Tommy Mac a couple years ago. I was staying at Huddles. |
