Location: Madison, WI | Looking into boats for when it comes time to pull the trigger. A lot of people seem to love the Esox mag. Being 6'4" 280 i'm concerned that it is too small. I read one thread where i guy mentioned that he's around 220 and when hes fishing from the front the boat is almost level with the water which worries me. Any other sasquatches on here that fish out of one? Any other input appreciated as well |

| I'm 6'4" 260 I have had 3 Esox Mags. Going to call B.S on whoever said front of boat level with water while he's up front.
I guided out of them for many years and had 2 very big dudes up front many times and never had anything close to that.
Great boat. Very stable. Miss having one some days except when its blowing 30mph on Monona then I'm glad I have my 1890 GT.
Get the Esox Mag. you will like it.

Location: oswego, il | The esox mag is 80" wide but it is wider than most boats up front. I bet your fine but if you are worried i bet you could find someone here that would let you fish with them in one.
I fish with a sasquatch your height and a bit heavier even in my 14ft princecraft. Have even let him run the front. No issues. |

Location: minocqua, wi. | Esox Mag fishes huge ... only thing to consider is your seating is low so getting up and down is similar to a bassboat, but total b.s. on it not holding weight of a big guy up front on the casting deck. It's an aircraft carrier ... you would love one for the purpose they are intended. |

The esox mag is a great trolling boat. Tracks well and turns on a dime with the tiller. I had a ESOX LTD for a number of years and trolled multiple lines regularly out of it.
FYI-The D.E. clamp on rod holders fit over the gunnel perfectly. |
