Just booked lodging in the Tomahawk area with the intention of exploring the upper
Wisconsin River. I was told I should also look at the Willow Flowage (6,300 acres with 90% undeveloped). I'll be fishing from an 18' Ranger & need advise concerning launch
options & navigation safety issues. I have WI 2015 Lake Master chip, which I hope will help. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

the Willow has nice boat landings with lots of parking and it's the Best multi-species fishery in the area. your chip should give you a good read of the channel and then if you take it in chunks, you'll learn it pretty quickly.

You should have no problem learning the waterway with your map chip. Stick to the main channels for all your navigating and running and you will have no problem! High water levels will help even further. Pick a section of it and break it down.

I concur with Todd about the very little stocking, which is the case for many of these other flowages.......
