So we know that shimano's muskie reel for 2017-2018 is the 300-400

Has there been any news from any of the other brands about a new reel?

Feel free to check out the Okuma Komodo 463 & 471.
Came available last year and, much like when their 300 series came out, no complaints so far.

How about investigating putting rocket gears out of a 60 into a 50? Do this by checking the schematics on the Abu web site. If all the surrounding parts are the same it should be doable.

Howdy,

Good idea, but it still wouldn't have that pretty red color!

Take care,

Id love to see this myself...I have 2 beasts 60s 2 revo toro S 60 a rocket 60 and a beast 50hs...Love the 50hs just so much more comfortable to palm that reel vs the 60 and I dont notice and further casting or anything from the 60 to the 50..Wish my 2 other beasts were 50s now or atleast one of them....
