Location: Detroit River | The bite has sucked for the most part. There's been some big fish caught but nothing like there normally is this time of year. The screwed up spring weather, VHS, the millions of gallons of raw sewage being dumped in the lake, & the high water level has made it hit or miss. Your odds of catching a "Brown Trout" are very good.
I'll be heading to the U.P. this weekend for my first time going after musky up there. I need a change of scenery because I'm getting sick of fishing LSC. |

Location: Lake St. Clair | Don't get discouraged.....the bite has been tough but there are still a good amount of fisher being caught. Who did you hire as a guide? If it's somebody that is reputable and legitimate, you will be fine. You will find some fish and have a place to start when fishing on your own. The fish are still here and they are still eating, we just aren't getting 10 bites a day quite yet! |

Location: Lake St Clair | Defiantly off to a rough start. Scored a 50.25 opening week and have raised a lot of fish since but its hit or miss for sure. Some days we have seen as many a dozen and then days like today (6am-1pm) we didnt see a single fish. Looks like the weeds are behind quite a bit still but they are coming up. Ive done best on cloudy, windy days for what its worth.
dawgs, medussas and swimbaits are what i recommend in non clear water.
Goodluck!

| Hey guys, We had some luck out there this weekend. Fished all Saturday(42.5, 47) and most of Sunday(39.5). Had a few other follows and lost another that hit out on the cast. Watch the water temp we had our luck somewhere in between the highest and lowest temps we found. All casting Clean water, no luck in the dirty. Be back in a month! |
