Just got back from Minaki in Ontario and my 18 year old son caught a 45" muskie and we got pictures. This was his B-Day trip! It broke his heart to have to let it go because of the 50 " size limit in that area. Any suggestions for a reproduction type mount from the pictuer and length. And what to look for in their ability??? We live in west central MN but that may not be a limitation to choosing a good & known service. Thanks, kt

Graphite/fiberglass is the way to go. I have several fish mounted other than muskies, the muskies that I mounted are repoductions and were released to be caught by someone else. The repos look better than the fish I killed and mounted. I see no reason to kill a fish when there is such a good option. Ron Lax is one of the best, he is in Conover, Wisconsin.
A couple pictures and some measurments is all it takes to get your trophy sent to your house. I love my graphites, they will always look the same as the day I got them. Keep them out of the sun, wipe them down from time to time and they will last a lifetime.

I have a Fittante and I was blown away by the quality and realism. Joe does an excellent job and I will use him again should I be lucky enough to catch one worthy of reproducing. You can reach him at:

I have Graphites done by both Lax and Fittante, Both do really nice work however I give Fittante just a slight edge, his glossy (Wet Look) is just a touch better and delivery is a bit faster than Lax's but I am satisfied with both

Here's another vote for Joe. You can't go wrong with either Lax or Fittante, but Fittante's fish always have that just came out of the water look. He does awesome work.
