I use flouro but you can use 100lb hard mono leaders.

Yeah, if you don't need stealth I would use stranded cable leaders. I use 135# seven-strand cable (nylon-coated), and make my own leaders using double-barreled crimps. The color of the cable through the nylon makes the leaders virtually invisible in the southern part of Green Bay.

In salt water use I think most offshore trollers use fluorocarbon. If you go to The Hull Truth forum and use their search engine, this topic has been discussed a number of times. Great reading.

we use mono 5fters. just check them occasionly. there cheap most guys on st clair run it because its not as stiff and allows smaller baits to work.
