Location: Minnesota. | FYI, on at least one northern metro lake, Rush, there is a "no wake" rule until the water levels drop below the high-water level for a min. of 3 days.
It's posted at the boat ramps.
This from the Sheriff's Dept. in case no one was aware. |

| The Sheriffs Water Patrol has been writing citations for this also. So be careful out there. From their facebook page
The following lakes have a No Wake zone: East Rush Lake, West Rush Lake, Goose Lake, Robour Lake, and Mandall Lake. The 'slow no wake zone' is 300 feet from shore and means that the operation of a watercraft at the slowest possible speed necessary to maintain steerage, and no greater than 5 mph. The no wake zone is to help minimize damage to shorelines and islands due to high water levels. |

Some may argue that this is only for visitors and not those with homes on the lake and that waterskiing is excluded from this rule.
I think we saw at least 6 boats cruisin around the other night haha |

Location: deephaven mn | I though no wake means no wake, not just inside 300 feet. I have seen several boats getting pulled over on Minnetonka
that could have argued the 300 feet rule |

Kap, the Sheriffs deputy told me of the 100 yd. rule. I questioned the rule (gently) as it seemed odd. Waves don't stop coming after 100 yds. He said "dems da rules!" |
