| Hey Guys,
I got a new Helix Bird in the boat. I have the Lakemaster 7 (I think) MN chip.
I assumed it would work in the new Bird and unless the unit isn't recognizing it, it's just showing the lake with no contours or depths. I think the Bird has some sort of built in map that should show some contours, so the fact that with the chip in it was just showing the lake without any contours, I assume it was trying to read the card, but wasn't getting any data.
I popped the chip in and out twice thinking the unit should recognize it when I did that, but it didn't solve the problem.
Is my Lakemaster chip too old and not compatible with the Helix?

| I think I found the answer online. Apparently if the Lakemaster Chip doesn't say Humminbird on it it's not compatible.
Ugh. Time to buy more new chips! | |
