Location: Shawano, Wi		Does anyone know how strong the GPS antenna's are on new models? Im looking at upgrading and have a electronics locker in my lund tiller. Will the gps part of the locator work with it being inside of the locker or will I have to purchase a puck antenna for it as well?

My hds is flush with the console and GPS is fine as well as any humminbird, but to optimize your trolling/casting accuracy I'd suggest you buy a directional GPS puck so you know the direction your boat is pointing so you can cast precisely 37* to port vs just guessing. Really helps off shore. I think lowrance calls it point 1 and I don't recall what bird calls it.
