| For all those hockey fans out there, today is a sad day.
Herby Brooks died this afternoon in a one car accident in Forest Lake on his way home from the US Hockey Hall of Fame in Eveleth, MN. |

Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | Just saw this on the net. This is indeed a sad moment in Hockey History. There may never be a another innovator such as "Herbie". He will be sorley missed by the Hockey world. |

Location: Bemidji, MN- | Prior to the 1980 Olympics, Herb turned around a cellar dwelling University of Minnesota hockey team and won three NCAA championships. He will be missed. |
