Was talking to a few guys that have had issue with reel engaging when in mid cast, is there a different counter weight handle you can put on? Just purchased a hg, so just wanted some input, thanks!

When you cast, consider turning your wrist so that the handle is horizontal position as Joe explains here: https://youtu.be/YH6rIHDAxUI?t=12m52s
that should prevent engaging the reel.

Very occasionally happens. Not something I'd call an issue and necessary to change by any means.

"When you cast, consider turning your hand"

I would edit this as turning your wrist rather than hand.

Reel handle forward or down when you cast. that will stop it.
