| What would be better for throwing 10s, the Revo toro beast 60 or the 60 HS. |

| Hs works but I use my low speed for them. Normally. I will use a Hs when speed is better but it takes more out of you. I have used beast rocket on 9's as another comparison. |

| for 10s Id def get the 60 4.9 i have the rocket the beast 60 the beast 60hs and the beast 50hs...for double 10s you need the 60 4.9 if you gonna throw for any period of time....they just pull so hard unless you using the 4.9 IMO...I try and run 10s on the rocket and 60hs and it can be done but they will wear you out quick...Ill use the rocket or HS for short period of time then have to get back to the 4.9 to stay sain |

Location: Duluth, MN | Agree with what the others said. I have both reels. You cannot use the HS on 10's for very long. It's just not made for it unless your a 20 year old body builder. |

| The Beast 50HS falls right in between the 60HS and the 4.9:1 when comparing IPT. I used the 50HS with the jigging handle on the middle hole for blades all last season with zero issues. It's the perfect all day 10s reel for me. |

Thats impressive because I def couldnt throw and burn 10s all day on my 50hs not even close they pull #*^@ hard even on that thing...I do have a Lexa PWR-HS and even that starts to wear after awhile and I turn to the Beast 60 4.9 and all is good |

Location: St. Lawrence River | Well, actually the Revo Toro S 60 falls in between the Beast 60 and the Beast 60 HS... with a jigging handle, it's a cool blade reel. |

I might have to get a jigging handle for my Revo Toro S. Anyone know where these can be had? |

Location: Madison, WI | I use a revo toro winch that originally had 4.9 gears but I felt it was a bit slow so had pike master put in 5.3 gears and that seems perfect, still fairly easy but a bit quicker if need be. I also run a 60hs and that sucks to pull 10s. |

Location: MN | I used the 50HS with the double paddle for 10's last season and found it to be tolerable. The effort is pretty similar to the 5.4:1 NaCl (26 IPT) with double paddle because of the larger diameter handle on the Beast.
If I could go back and do it again I'd probably get the 60HS, but at the time I came across a good deal on the 50. Just my opinion, but I would never buy the low speed Beast. The S 60 is less money + more speed (but still moderate). I haven't seen any evidence the Beast is more durable, and I don't see much value in the bells and whistles. Again, JMO - your mileage may vary. |
