Reel; here r a few Jigs I pour. ultra Minnow head...5 oz. The custom swimmer head is 3/4 oz. The power heads or Stand-up are 1/2 and 3/4 oz. The custom pyramid head is slightly under 1/2 oz I recall when we fished bullheads or Cats, we used a slip sinker W/ a night crawler. What worked best was we Injected air in the tail of the crawler, SO it stood up off the bottom. That system really outfished others as I think the fish found the bait quicker because of the vertical presentation. Hence; The Pyramid head. Sometimes called Big Foot, Stands very vertical, slightly more vertical than the stand up head, Had 2 guys approach me Many years ago as they fished Creatures on Bone and Deer in Polk county. They dead sticked creatures when water got below 45. They wanted a presentation so when they dead sticked, The Creature would stand Vertical. My Creatures were the ticket they said because of the cork in tail...via Pic They would let the jig sit on the botton 30 seconds - 3 Minutes Before they moved the jig again. They said the muskies Would pick the jig right off the bottom. The concept which I knew worked for Bass and other specie also worked for the ski's, which I never really tried dead sticking Ski's. The vertical Pyramid jig + the HI-Tail creature was successful. This paddle tail lizard stands Nice and vertical. Whats cool is when the jig hits bottom, the momentum of the jig made the tail of the creature bend downward/ then tail rose back vertical, seconds after the jig sat motionless. So there was movement well after jig sat there! JD
