Here's what I have and what I'm hoping to accomplish...

7'6" Heavy Premier that I built from a premier blank. I would like to turn it into a 6'9" stiff pool cue jerkbait Rod. Can I just cut off 9" or so, glue on a new tip, and be good to go?

1. First off, is this possible?
2. If it's something I can do, what steps do I need to follow to ensure I don't "gong-show" a decent back up jerkbait Rod?

Thanks,
Steve

If you really want a 6'9" buy a new rod. Sell the 7'6" if you don't like it. You will destroy the blank if you cut that much off the tip.

Yea it's just too much to take off the Rod. When you hear about people shortening it's like 2 inches off the tip. Get a TI 7' Xxh for a 100 bucks and don't look back.
