Saw few different trolling motors that mount on the outboard motor...anyone had any experience with these? thought this might be good option in place of trying to mount a kicker to fiberglass boat just too nice to drill into for kicker on boat...I have 80lb terrova up front but can get up to 160lb on rear outboard mount...thought this might be better option for the motor restricted lakes in place of kicker mount..any thoughts or experience out there....going on a 20ft fiberglass ranger

If you have the money for a kicker, get a kicker. You're going to be drilling lots of holes into that boat over the course of owning it, might as well get used to it early.

I have used with the 80 moves boat fine but if you on big lake with motor restricition takes forever to get across whole lake which cuts into fishing time dramastically. Thing with the Kicker its a ranger fiberglass bass boat not really set up for kicker...could you mount one..yes you could but I just dont wanna take chance if I dont have too with mounting kicker into fiberglass and it not being strong enough for all the vibrations and everyhting and really cracking fiberglass good thats all...not so much the holes Im worried about more structurally is this gonna be safe and strong enough and dont think I can get behind it to reinforce it either....I can get like 2.6mph out of the terrova up front if got smooth water and little wind figured another 80 on rear or add the 160 to rear and should be able to achieve 4mph maybe even close to 5mph and that would work
