Location: Syracuse, Indiana | My son and I are off to Andy Myer's Lodge for our annual Eagle Lake adventure. Any new rockpiles showing themselves to lower units on the west arm? Any fishing reports, hints, or tips are appreciated. I'll reciprocate with a post of our results when (if) we return.

Location: Syracuse, Indiana | Back from Eagle with a promised post. Saw more fish than I had ever seen before, but hooked up with none. Pretty frustrating seeing multiple fish refuse to eat baits. Weather was hot, 90+ degrees, and bright skies every day. Smaller fish were in the weeds, but the real pigs were related to rocks. Most follows were on hair. Did catch some big Pike (one over 40"). Steve Herbeck and his staff at Andy Myer's Lodge treated us well, as always. I've already made reservations for next year.

Location: Northern IL | My boys and I just spent 41/2 days on Eagle and loved it all! What a beautiful place. We visited the falls, did some hiking, swimming, and of course caught some fish. We spent a lot of time mapping Vermilion bay, Portage bay, and the West arm.
The kids didn't catch a lot of fish but the ones they caught were all good ones. My youngest caught a couple nice 36" pike, My 10 year boy's biggest was a very fat 40" pike on a 35' break into 51' trolling using wire line. There were 7 other good pike caught off this same break with in 2 hours time. Ryan 13, started his trip with a 39" pike and then followed that with a 38"x18" pike trolling in 30', he then brought a 48" x 21" muskie boat side, hooked her on a turn and the fun was on, she jumped a couple of times before landing her,,, what a thrill! He then landed a 46"er the very next day again boat side. Somebody pinch me. I guess were going back.
