| Ok I've got a Lowrance hds5 gen2 I also have structure scan box set up..I just got WiFi 1 module..my question only 1 ethernet port on back hds5 which has SS plugged into it...how do I link WiFi module? Do I run Structure scan into WiFi 1 module then run ethernet cable from WiFi 1 to hds5...only thing I can come up with...WiFi module has 2 ethernet ports hds5 only 1 so is this correct? Any help if it's not?

| Ok with lots more research I see you cannot do this the way i was talking you must use a NEC-2 expansion box...ok no biggie but once I get expansion box How will everything wire together? anyone have any ideas because you still stuck with one ethernet port on back HDS5...this very frustration making me rethink everything Like maybe I should Sell Structure scan box prob not worth much and sell the HDS5 gen2 non touch and upgrade t an DS9 gen3 and then Link everything up |

| Yep, easier to upgrade. Id call Lowrance and see what they will give you for trade in value on your HDS5 against a new unit. I was surprised what I got for my old one in trade value. |

| Contacted lowrance and they say I can run WiFi module into structure scan and I'm good to go..so we will see if this works |

| I agree easier to upgrade. HDS gen3 has Wifi built in. |
