| There has been several issues regarding Guiding on Ohio Inland State Owned Lakes fishing for State Stocked fish.Does anyone know the Law and if there is Gray areas surrounding these laws?This is not a slam on guides,I'm personally considering doing some guiding locally in 2004.How are things done in other states regarding this issue?I just want to keep it legal.Our lakes have no known reproduction. Location: NeverNever Lake | Kevin, Grey to say the least ! From the sounds of it, if it's not legal to guide in State Parks, they're not enforcing it. One would probably need to get a lawyer and go to the law library to find out for sure. Or better yet start guiding and if you are fined, get a lawyer, go to court, and if he gets you off it's legal. It seems like thats the way this society works anymore. One law contradicts the other. If that doesn't work there's always the local politician who would be willing to be a silent partner for a small slice. Just make sure you trade "dead presidents" at the local BP station, not on State Park Property.
I have meet so many good people at all the lakes I fish Oh,Pa,Wv,Ky as well as NY. Seems like we have a mutual friend, maybe we will meet and fish together sometime.
Remember the scene from "The Outlaw Josey Wales" when Josey goes to confront "Ten Bears" ? A lesson for all to learn from.......Reckon so | |

I know there are also Coast Guard requirements for certification as a guide, which include physicals, pee tests and first aid training, but I don't know how those are enforced on state owned reservoirs. Good idea to check before you jump in with both feet. See ya on the water. m | |
