The Wausau Area Muskies Inc. Chapter 62 will be hosting a lure swap on Saturday, March 4th at the Central Wisconsin Convention and Expo Center - the same building as the Wisconsin Musky Expo.
There will be a cash bar for refreshments, FREE admission, NO charge per table used for the lure swap, and FREE pizza (provided compliments of the Wisconsin Musky Expo)! Set up will begin at 6:00pm with the lure swap running 6:15-7:45pm.
As mentioned prior, the lure swap is free of charge and everyone is welcome! In lieu of fees, Wausau Area Muskies Inc. Chapter 62 would like to invite you to show your appreciation for their hospitality and make a suggested donation to the club towards stocking efforts.
Stop by and talk to some of our guys at the Wausau Area Muskies Inc. booth at the expo. We look forward to seeing everyone again this year!

I really love all the shows and, being an addict, attend more than most. This year I missed them all but this one staying in the south, but I won't miss this one (God Willing) for certain. This is the show I really like to attend Friday away from the crowds for my buying, Friday night at the ajoining "social" areas at the hotel for my eating and drinking, and then join the Saturday shuffle for pure socializing with no need to fight for the baits I want. Seeing Jeff Hanson in the Spanky booth is always a treat, it's either that or follow him all around the Madison Chain marking way-points like everybody else....that guy is just "Spooky" at finding fish! Please say hi to this old Junkman, it's been a long winter fighting to avoid the "harmful" rays of the sun!!

Here's the flier for the Swap meet. Setup at 6pm.
We'll be doing some door prizes this year so you can get something for literally nothing--and if you don't like it, you're at a swap, just trade or sell it away!

I'm with John and Donnie, the Rocky Point Spinner Blade Attachments have been one of the hottest sellers at Smokey's Muskie Shop. Almost like Frank's, you can put that stuff on just about anything. The one's they sell in the Tackle Industries booth the combo with the Mini D are my best spring and summer baits. Good thing they are established. There's a guy that come's in that uses them on hardheads. Medussa's are incredible with them, rattle traps, Angry Dragons, Twinkees, .22 shorts. Also all the TI Super D line. I really like that Wausau show. It is great to be able to see people like Daryl and Tera from Bitten Tackle, Tony Rizzo, Musky Tickler, Choke your chicken bucktails, Ross's Sport Shop, and the list goes on. Things you won't see at the other shows. Quality baits, quality people, great show.

Do the rocky point spinner arms have barrel swivels on them? I would never use barrel swivels on leaders, spinners or anything else. Need a good ball bearing swivel for stuff like that

They are a direct tie to the lure and to your leader. The wire is .51 diameter. Are easily moved from bait to bait. The only swivel is for the blade to spin.

I would or also love a black widow #8 and #10 from spanky.

You can order the Black Widow pattern Right from Spanky- His website is being rebuilt now- will be up shortly (spankybaits.com) but you can call in any order to 608-214-2253 he will make up whatever you want. Once website is finished you will be able to order from that again.

For the pm's and messages I have received about musky innovations spinner arms.
They have a quality Ball bearing swivel on them. To attach the arm to your lure you attach it with a split ring so it cannot come off on its own. I have some that are 7-8 years old and are still great. If you cannot make it too show you can email Brad Ruh (owner) at:[email protected] and get some please keep in mind they are swamped right now with shows and spring store orders.
thanks,
Jeff Hanson

Of course it wasn't in the plan , but I couldn't resist. A new Tranx 400, the awesome guys at Blue Ribbon took care of me again! I was only looking for a spare rod and they had a few volatile rods for$120. We started talking about the Tranx and he said "buy the reel and I'll throw in the rod"
SOLD!

I went trying to control my spending to under $100. Well after coming out Sunday afternoon spending ~$300 I guess I didn't accomplish my goal. But those wet suits they had for half price were just too good of deal. I got the coat, bibs and water proof gloves for $210 right at the end of the show. As usual great show.
