I'd like to thank jdsplasher & forum members for their contributions to the Reef Hawg threads here. jdsplasher was kind to me, directing me to read the posts within a thread where he described his Reef Hawg tuning methods.
I've created a PDF document that captures some of the important methods & opinions regarding the Reef Hawg. Thanks Gents, see attached PDF file.

I, taken the liberty to create a PDF document that captures JDSplasher's 6 inch Reef Hawg 2 hook tuning method. JD, I used your photo you posted in the thread "6"and 8" Reef hawg modification". and your posted methods. Thank you JD for sharing your method for the very cool bait. Have to like a bait that to me looks like it's grinning!
I have a donor 6" Hawg I'm going to make your recommended tuning modification on. For hooks I'm going with 5/0 Tyrant wide gap short shank front, 4/0 Tyrant wide gap short shank rear. I intend to cotter the front (I have made tooling to do this, use it on other baits I re-work). Split ring the rear (but may test the Hawg with the oem hook in place).
The PDF file attached to this post.
