Location: oswego, il | A heavy fiberglass rod like the one stated.above, okuma, bps and cabelas make good ones. Diawa sealine, okuma convector or coldwater reel will work.great and get you under 200 with a good setup

| You should be able to get a TDR and Shimano Tekota for close to $200. If you don't troll a ton and don't run big, hard pulling baits, the Daiwa's are tough to beat for economical trolling reels. TDR's are the best rods for the price though; I have yet to find anything that's $34.99 that even comes close. |

I run 16" baits on TDR's with no issues at all. |

| I run big baits on 8" heavy rods and everything else on 8'6" Med heavy, but I haven't noticed much difference between the two. |
