Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | Every year it seems like I get on a role with a certain presentation and the fish everywhere seem to really prefer it. Last year it was hopping a Jerko around pretty quick. This year I haven't even thrown a Jerko yet because it seems like the fish everywhere are chasing hair. In fact out of the last 20 fish in my boat I think fifteen have been on bucktails. Anyone else finding this to be the summer of hair? |

Location: Racine, Wi | So far a chartruse (however that is spelled) perch Jake has been the hot bait. About half of the fish in my boat have come on that lure. One of the guys I have taken out a couple of times now calls him "lucky" due to all of the action we've had on it. It's got my biggest, and the most for me this year. |

Location: Minneapolis,Minnesota | Yep, almost all my action this year has been on hair. I almost never throw bucktails but this year it is my go to presentation. I've also seen a ton of fish on the ERC Rip N Glide prototype but have yet to get one to nail it? They love to come up and look at it when I let it wobble to the surface after ripping it thru some weeds, but as soon as I pop the rod again they leave?? |

Location: So. Illinois | Rapala Super Shad Raps in firetiger and gold shiner. I've caught fish trolling at 4(+) mph and twitched over wedbed adjacent to sharp drop offs. Nothing else seems to work for me (<-- stated with much reservation because I am still learning how to use mose of the tackle I have). 6 Fish to date for my first year.

| Another vote for bucktails...hardly threw them at all last year preferring a spinnerbait but this year bucktails are easily outperforming all other baits. |

Location: oswego, il | Several baits have worked for me. Spinners have been good and my baits have scored as well as a bait from muskieE with a homemade blade. Perch zalt, zams a perch bobmer long a, and a treats glider. Have seen fish on other baits but those have scored so far casting. |

Location: St. Louis, MO., Marco Is., FL, Nestor Falls, ON | Without a doubt....Buchertail 500 series chartreuse, orange, black blade with a split tail trailer. I have caught at least 40 muskies this season up to 50+" on this same lure. No hair left, paint almost gone, hooks sharpened till there is hardly any shank left. I can't find another like it anywhere up here in LOTW. Oh well...I'll add new hooks, tie on hair and hope for the best. |

Location: Kawartha Lakes, Ontario | 10" Depthmaster Lures jerkbait in firetiger perch. And the funny thing is that I've caught most fish on this lure trolling over 20 to 30 feet of water - not your typical jerkbait presentation but it's working and I'm not complaining! |

Location: Montgomery,Illinois | I havent done to well period. Last year it was all about the small suicks I had a 3 fish day in my first year on them. I also love the topraider. My best this year has been a 6in perch phantom for seeing fish and ive only caught 2. 1 on a small suick and 1 on a grim reaper bucktail.

| Of 7 legals so far this year, 5 came on a tandem bucktail from Snowcrest Lure Mfg. here in Nebraska. They're pretty new but the quality of their baits is second to none and the prices are better than most. They definately get my vote.
Here's a link to their website, for those interested.

| a custom painted 8 inch shallowraider in a crappie color , my bro bought it at a muskie show somewhere. The muskie's were chasing several of the pike we had caught on the way in, and the shallowraider had nice spots on , kinda looked pikie. Anyway I nailed 5 or 6 in a week in canada. ManitouDan |

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | There have been two hot lures for me. The Triple D and a Mepps Magnum and/or Mepps Musky Killers. Talk about a one two punch. Hit em with speed of the bucktail, then get em with the "in your face" Triple D. |

Location: Oconomowoc, WI | two baits have performed well and accounted for all but a couple of the 18 fish boated. small bucktails have been the best. A close second- Super Shad Raps twiched and ripped through the weeds letting it surface in between hard rips. Hang on! |

Location: Wausau/Phillips WI | The Pacemaker topwater has been the HOT bait in my boat from June 21 thru July. Went down then with a back injury and just cranked up the boat again August 30. My daughter caught her first legal (45") on a Pacemaker over Labor day weekend. We've gotten into such a rut that my other pet baits have probably been sitting in the box too much.

| Hot bait in the spring was a Rubberhairy glider, then a pink Mepps bucktail followed later by a Lilly tail and now the Triple D has been hot. I can't wait to throw the Triple D this fall. |
