Location: Wausau, Wisconsin | I was pre-fishing the Pelican Lake WMT the other day and after a couple hours of not seeing anything I made the comment, "Geez, I can't believe we haven't seen anything yet." The WHAM! right next to the boat a 30 pounder eats my suick next to the boat. Thrash, crash, splash, she was violent! Then she turns, power dives, strips my drag and dives into the trolling motor and bends the treble around the shaft of the trolling motor. Anyone wanna guess if I caught her? Didn't think so. Anyone have problems with Penn International drags? I'm thinking of switching?
