Shimano reel names

I was always under the impression that Shimano named their reels depending what type they were. For example; spinning reels names started with an S. Stradic, Spirex, Stella. Casting reels began with a C. Calcutta, Curado, Conquest. Trolling reels with a T. Tekota, Triton. You get the idea.
I wonder if Tranx was designed as a trolling reel but was adopted by the casting crowd. I doubt the new 300 and 400 Tranx are intended to be a trolling reel.

tranx is based on the trinidad. My guess? A bunch of guys sitting around a fire drinking beer came up with a mean name that started with "Tr"
