| So I used the abu c4 last ear and broke a couple times. So now I'm looking at the Calcutta d or conquest. I see great reviews for the Calcutta d and not as many for the conquest. I see it on amazon for 90$ more. So just wondering everyone's take on if the 90$ would be worth the upgrade or just go with the D since many seem to love it. Thanks!! |

Location: Wisconsin | Body- The D is my go to reel. Sorry, I can't tell you how it differs from the conquest, but would tell you I prefer the 300 to the 400. So you should see which feels best for you. I also like the quicker gear in the 300, but if you throw heavier baits more often, than 400 may suit you better. |

| Depending on useage, the conquest I will take hands down over the d. I have both, and now the wife won't give it back! |

I've been out of the muskie reel game for a while... |

Correct no TE. The reel game moves just like phones or anything else, quickly obsolete. |

Location: Watersmeet, Michigan | If I owned just one reel, it would be the Calcutta D. Nice retrieve speed, big handle, palms nicely, and to get a backlash you'd have to be trying. And, of course, Shimano quality.
