Location: Toledo | My brother and I just returned from pigeon. A few things you can expect, 1. You will see fewer fish 2. The weeds are not as dense and 3. On the average you will see bigger fish. We are casters and have seen more than 75 fish in a week on pigeon, but this year we were lucky if we saw half that. The fish we did see were bigger on average, mainly in the 46 inch range. We boated two at 46 inches and lost four that were right in that range. Fish the weedbeds on the west side and the bottom islands. I don't understand why there are not more musky anglers on this lake. We were lucky if we saw six other musky fihermen during the whole week. I know I can go to Webster and see 50 in a day on a great day, but I also might see 30 skiers! Good Luck and contact me if you need more info, The Musky Shakes-Mark | |

| there is a bloom, which may help explain why i am not seeing as many follows, either
i am catching as many, though, 14 in my last 4 days of fishing, and that's fishing one day a week
in some of the bays there is a hair-like algae on the weeds, making it difficult to fish, but it is not widespread
bulldogs, shallow and regular, have been very hot for me
good luck | |
