Looking to get a pair of prescription polarized. I've always had good luck with brown/copper type tints for freshwater sight fishing for trout, steelhead, and musky. I keep reading that musky guys seem to really like the costa 580g in green mirror. Am I missing the boat on this?

Costa Green Mirror are a COPPER base, not an amber base like I keep reading on many different forums/webpages.

So I've narrowed my search down to Costa 580g Green Mirror (Cortez) vs Smith Chromapop in Copper Mirror (Guides Choice).

Have you looked at Maui Jim ? They make a great prescription polarized lens.

i've got both of those. smiths hold up better, frame wise, neither like sunscreen or bug spray, rubber keeps coming off all my diff costa's, but not smiths.lens is prob better for all day wearing on costa's and prob more scratch resistant too tho.

Do you have these lense colors? What makes the costas better for all day?

yup both. just less eye fatigue with the costas if wearing for ten hrs a day, day after day. my eyes will get more sore with the smiths. maybe better lens quality i dunno. i usually only wear these lens colors in morning, eve, or overcast. otherwise my blue mirror costas are tough to beat when sunny or mid day.

I have Nike Unrest prescript shades. Standard dark gray lens is fine for me... I use to be a fan of amber for extremely bright conditions(my snowmobile goggles).
