Location: Smith Creek | They don't come off easy and they are super cheap to replace if you want a different color variation. Rollie and Helens sells all the different colored tails you'd want. |

Location: Detroit River | The tails do not come off easily so no worries when casting it or when a fish is on. If you want extra insurance to calm your paranoia you can use super glue or put a tooth pick through it or both.

Location: Shawano, Wi | I love hardheads. If the tail gets cut just get a new tail alot more bang for yourent buck versus other rubber type lure. Here's a video two of these fish were caught on a 8 Oz version. https://youtu.be/wBxummeFwsM |

Location: oswego, il | Different sizes use different tails. I have the wood ones from when roger from H2o tackle made them. One of the smaller sizes used a narrow 8" tail. It was really good and made for some awesome actions with a belly weight. That tail isnt made anymore unfortunately. Somebody should make it! The 8" mogambo is pretty close but not the same rubber consistency. That is the cool thing about these baits though, so many combinations of weights, tails and tail positions. |
