Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Yesterday morning we lost a huge supporter of our muskie world. John "LUNGE" Laimon slipped away from his battle with cancer.
I was not sure if someone was going to put something up here. Lots of us knew him from the shows and his kindness towards Muskies Inc and the muskie world.
John will be missed by many and touched everyone he met. R.I.P my friend!!!
Tuesday 12/27/2016 Visitation 4-6pm Service 6pm Christ Lutheran Church W240 N3103 Pewaukee Road Pewaukee, WI 53072
A few of us are already talking about a yearly memorial stocking of muskies into Pewaukee lake as a reminder of how John cared about the lake. |

| John's wife Loie (hope that's spelled right) was more the always present guardian of the other shop that used to be just Smokeys on the East end. For those who know her, she is just the sweetest person you ever met. If you met her for the first time, you would think just that. I pray God will show her all His tender mercies on this difficult loss and I extend my sincere condolences. John was a bit different, especially if he thought you were a left-leaning liberal. You needed to take time to get to know John, but if you did....you liked him. I liked him. And, I'll miss him! |

Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | Thanks Mike for the post and John will be missed by all of us in the musky world. The gathering tonight was full of anglers that showed there respects for a man that gave everything to the promote and support fishing. I hope that all of you had the chance to know John and if real lucky discuss political views at his round table in the musky shop. We'll miss you.

Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | RIP my friend. Somewhere God has a spokesman and an all around great guy. Little hard to think of Pewaukee Lake and not think of John and Smokies. Hopefully some sort of outing or tourny will be done in his name. |

| Huge shout out to Doug Reuter for getting a stocking fundraiser in John's name for Pewaukee Lake at his shows in Chicago and Pewaukee. https://muskieexpo.com/john-smokey-laimon-memorial-fund/
Donation jars will be setup in the FRV and Chicagoland booths at Chicago this weekend, and the Milwaukee Chapter of Muskies Inc and Muskellunge Club of Wisconsin booths at the Milwaukee show. Doug will also be updating the website soon with information where to mail checks for this effort.
