Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The phrase you are to find is in a post on an OutdoorsFIRST forum, and is EXACTLY as it will be deciphered by the expert minds here on MuskieFIRST. That phrase will lead you to a prize not mentioned, for if it were, the game would be afoot. Prize is a Friday night and Saturday at Worrall's Hideout any time in the 2004 fishing season, 1 day chasing muskies, meals, a six pack of Violent Strike baits, and a MuskieFIRST T Shirt. Clue number 1: Mason |

Yup. Bad ice here too now. Not long though, not long. In exactly 5 months, I will be standing on the ice on Thunder, or Pelican, or somewhere during the holidays. TIP-UP!!!!!
Or it could be the previous post, about finding good ice in my Kitzigen Water! hehehe
Ice also usually ends up in a cooler. Not exactly what I envision as a widget, though!

Ya I said because your flag is up again and so is mine, two more walleyes and we were back in the shack again. Its cold out aint it?? Ya but no flags yet. Pass me a beer will ya?

That led to the next clues, which answered water and ice, then tip up, then "Shep, What"? Sort of. Which is where we are now. Kind of. Other than an oar (swORRal), a fishing rod held in your hands, or your neck, I can't think of a post that comes off of the middle of me. Please refrain from any cutie-pie responses to that one!

Location: Woodstock, IL | Ok one more guess.
A post holds the answer. Assuming "post" is figurative and not really a message post, it could be a fishing rod. A fishing rod would hold the reel and don't some tip-ups have a built in reel? That would explain Shep being close with "flag" since he was nameing parts of a tip-up.
Reel. If that isn't it, I give up (maybe). |

Fishing line (spooled in the middle of the reel, moving back and forth guided by the levelwind)
Spool (in the middle of the reel)
Flag wire (on the tip-up, which holds the flag and obviously moves back and forth)

| NO GIVING UP!!! Just pull back off the trail and regroup; review the information available, then wait in ambush...sooner or later a hapless clue will appear; at that time use what you know and "snipe" the answer, claiming a part or all of the prize. Haven't seen frozen water meself in years; I can only pull the pin and hope a fragment of an answer hits the mark, thus making this time of testing all worthwhile! |

Three-- Bored (emotive, too) Board as in wood Board as in Board of Directors Mentioned Board before, trolling board Flag led to tip up led to trolling board The rest led to this stuff. Yup. I am twisted. Nutz. And I am having way too much fun here. NOW I will get tougher, I was too easy tonight. |

I transferred all the data from the old board to a new, enhanced message board format. A couple of posts were lost (Gander Mtn post was one of them), and you'll have to redo any signatures yo may have had, but everything else made it intact, including usernames and passwords.
Check out the photo albums. You can make your own photo albums it is a really nice feature.
If you have any problems email me at [email protected].

I am writing this from work on a high end machine running 2000NT-PRO. You see that I can't post from my computer at home. In fact I can't read the OutdoorsFirst pages. They load but will not display. The "enhanced" pages and message board now in use are built with nonstandard tables which are designed to screw up anything but the newer Internet Explorer versions. The only reason IE has the most users today is that Microsoft gave the system away free to AOL and some other ISP's when the net was in it's infancy, not because it was the best browser around. Hey, I can wait till break time to cruise this site from work, but it's become clear to me that the OutdoorsFirst administration thinks very little of the Winnebago Walleyes site and the people who came here in the past. How long has it been since the pages have been updated. Nothing against Lonnie but isn't it time to change the main page, add some new articles etc. It would also have been nice if someone would have answered even one of the emails I sent voicing my concerns about the site. Guess what! I just discoved that I can't use my registered user name to post. It hasn't got enough letters. More bull!

Hey BD,
Sorry about the problems. We have burned through a bunch of them on MuskieFIRST and will apply the fixes from that board to this one. I changed the password min length to 1, so that should be fixed for you. Also, I know about the table display problem, I am assuming you are using a Netscape Version prior to 7. The problem was a table error I made when altering the board, I have patched it over on MF and will do the same here tonight. I highly recommend upgrading to Netscape 7, as it is Netscape, not IE, that has major gaps in it WC3 compliancy prior to version 7. Netscape 7 will improve your browsing experience on all sites, not just this one. New content is coming, we almost have all the pieces together for 2003, which will be a great year for Winnebago Walleyes and WalleyeFirst.
Thanks for hangin in there,
Zach

Thanks for replying so quickly. When the problems expanded to the "enhanced" message board and I hadn't received a reply to the email I sent in Jan. I started getting ticked off. I've had a little time to cool off now and I will try the Netscape upgrade.
P.S. I can't use my two letter user name. No problems with the password not being accepted so far.

OK, you found it. You win. You have a Friday night through Saturday at Worrall's Hideout in 2004!! Way to go, this was a tough one to figure out.

If you encounter any difficulties please let me know....
Also, you may now upload files and images. Give it a try. Do your best to keep file sizes small.
Thanks,
Zach

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Dave, You obviously have it sir, congratulations! You can let me know what days you are interested in for a trip in 2004, and I will set up a stay next year for you at The Hideout. I will take you and a guest muskie fishing, and if you wish, send you home with a super bag of panfish fillets, too. Great job, everyone! This one was alot of fun. The answer was on WalleyeFIRST, under the Thread Heading 'Board Ugrade'. |

Steve, I have no idea where the Hideout is, or what lake we would be fishing. Let me know and what time of year you think best and I will track down a date.
Thanks!!!!! |
