How was the Muskie action on your waters this weekend? I got out for two hours Saturday, saw one mid-40's fish, and was chased off by a storm. Spent yesterday working.

I finally had a chance to get out. Got a 42.5" burnin' a bucktail, and a 37.5" on an undertaker. Not a ton of fish showing themselves, but the ones that did were aggressive.

Hit the water at 530 am Sunday only to be scared off by lightning at 7 am. No muskie action, but got about a 5-6 lb largemouth on a Top Raider. Silly bass!

It stinks.... algae blooms, low lake levels... I lost the pattern about 2 weeks ago and am having a heck of time finding anything consitent. Typical late July for me....

Musky fishing this weekend was pretty good in the Wausau/Tomahawk area. One of our guides put 2 muskies in the boat on Friday night, Both upper thirties. I myself was camping with my family but managed some fishing time late in the evenings for about one hour. All that I could muster was a miss on a bucktail, one blowup on a Topraider and a largemouth bass that sucked down the same bucktail I was using earlier. One of our other guides was out both Sat. and Sun. and saw lots of fish, his group boated one fish each day, both fish were 39". Other than that were looking towards a positive week of musky fishing. I will be on Lake Wausau tommorrow and Wed. Lake DuBay on Thursday, and am going to be on Pelican Lake on Friday. I will keep you posted, or you can check the reports by visiting my website.

I agree with esoxmd. Saturday boated 2 fish; one on an undertaker and one suspendo on a DDD (40" and 36"). The undertaker fish was explosive on the take and the suspendo was subtle. Didn't see a lot of followers which was atypical for the lakes. Also had a few blowups on topwaters that entirely missed the bait.

Finally got it going up here in the Metro!

Friday night, 43". Sunday, all within 2 hrs, 44 and 38", another big one missed a top water. 2 Pike that went 33 and 35" and 2 nice bass that went 4-5lbs. All fish came on 2 different lures.

Fished a half day saturday because my dad flipped the kill switch on his motor and could not get the motor started again untill we got home. My mom boated her biggest a fat 36"er so that was good anyway. It pretty much went downhill from there.

We finally figured some stuff out at home this weekend, just in time for the matchfishing. The total for Satuday and Sunday was 6 ranging from 32"-40". Trolling Grandmas at 4 mph was the ticket. A DDD pattern showed itself late in the day and will need some future work. Now we have to sit all week and wait for Norm to get back from LOTW so we know our future.

Georgian Bay has been extremely tough, water has dropped 10 degrees in the last 2 weeks..Fishing has been slow, although a 55+ cow has been raised in a special area...

I heard from Norm's partner in the Rhinelander  Muskie tonight league that he got a TRUCKload of fish his first day there, no details but as I understand it, like 6 or so.
