| I don't have any answers, just clues. I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions...
Last year my mid-summer sucked royal nards. I spent most of my time fishing the same patterns that worked in early season, and that was, I think, my big mistake. Same patterns = banging the breaks and structure with typical lures like bucktails and cranks. This year I'm shifting gears to spend LOTS more time on the local river system, plus some targeting of suspendos in larger lakes that have ciscos. Being in Michigan, I can troll, and troll I will, with multiple lines out. Why, on the Menominee River flowages I can have 3 lines out while trolling by myself. I plan to target the edges of the old river channel. Big baits, starting with 9" Grandmas, 10" Jakes, 10" jointed Believers and heavy RadDog spinnerbaits.
What do you think?

Location: Washington, PA | I fish rivers, and mid summer is usually the best time to be out there. They've been eating top raiders, believers, and the hang 10 manta. The fish have been real shallow at the top of holes, somewhat roaming lately.

Location: oswego, il | When we were up north, burning bucktails across cabbage beds and fishing the egdes of them worked. Down here we troll deep divers fast along the weed edges and drops and bucktails and spinnerbaits over the weeds. Speed seems to be the key.

Location: Stevens Point, WI | The last couple of fish I have boated and hooked have come burning smaller bucktails with rubber tails. The hottest bait for me was the Chartruese Blade,Tail/Purple Skirt Slippery Sam Jr. Also hot was a Crazy D Brass/Orange tail bucktail.
