Got back yesterday from our annual Goon trip with some o.k. results. Two muskies in the boat, 44" & 40" and several lost. Two windy days early in the week messed things up but we still managed to get a couple. Big Pike were not as numerous as in the past which was kind of strange. ? for sworral- were the weeds all slimed up on the west side of the lake when you were there? They were nasty up top in many areas of the eastern half, but were still holding fish. All in all a good week, with a little luck we could have had 6 or 7 more, but I guess thats why they call it "fishing" not "catching".;)

Intersting, the colors of those two fish are quite different from each other. Nice fish by the way.:-)

Thanks ToddM,

Both fish were caught in the same area of the lake, and both were weed fish. I think the second one may have gotten a little over flashed.

Yes, with the water down 4 feet, the lake was pretty stirred up, which encourages algae. Some of the areas we fished were pretty snotted up.

The big pike were on the current breaks on rocks. We hit them pretty well, throwing cranks and spinnerbaits. No muskies there though, they were definitely in the weeds.

Great fish!! Wish I had had another week there...
