With it be the middle of summer I was wondering what you find to be the most productive lures in the summer, crankbaits, topwater, spinnerbaits etc. Feel free to let me know which lures are most productive for you during the dog days. Thanks for all help, Mark

Zams and TR Twitchers were great for me last summer casting. For trolling deep divers on short lines like depth raiders and grandmas were good.

I tried a little trolling at Webster and it was just about impossible. You can pick the deepest clearest part of the lake and you're still picking up weeds all over the place. I've seen people trolling out there I just don't see how they do it with all the floating weeds all over the place. Mark

TM Tail spinner baits, Smoking them trought the water as fast as you can, has really been good for me.

I like a black topper stopper. It attracts fish when nothing else does. Throw it into deep wood if you can. Try casting along weed beds, drop off edges, and at inlets throw long casts towards the other side. I use hi speed reels which allow you to burn the bait. When using a intermittent retrieve I've had them hit when the bait is just sitting there! Make sure your hooks are sharp or you will miss some fish. Musky39

Topwaters- Depending on water conditions.
Fast moving bucktails.
Big gliders off deep weed edges right before dark.

Don't forget to toss a jig at them if the fish are on the deep breaks!

You da man, sworrall. Jigs and creatures can be HOT summertime baits that are often overlooked. When conventional techniques aren't working, try tossing a creature around.....you may be surprised what a big muskie will eat.
